Announcements:

• Hey Seniors! Yes you!  Jostens will be on campus Wednesday, January 28^that lunch to take cap and gown orders.  This will be the last time they will be on campus taking orders. You can also order online at Jostens.com. 

• Hey Seniors, do you need some help with scholarships? Come to the Kern Community Foundation Scholarship Workshop on 1/29/26 at 1pm in Room 2A.  You can do one application and enter for 25+ scholarships You need to register at: https://forms.gle/HJFrNkdfaKyLje4Q6 The link is in your Class of 2026 Counseling Canvas page or see Ms. Yubeta in Room 2A or s ee your counselor to get signed up for the workshop.  Signups must be done by 1/28/26.

• Scots! Do you have trouble reading the board in class? Wear glasses, but they're scratched, broken, or have you outgrown them? We can get you free vision care, an eye exam, or frames, all you have to do is sign up! There are only 30 spots available. See your counselor or Mrs. Rodriguez in the front office to sign up. 

• Are you interested in taking the ASVAB Test on 1/29/26 in the library? If so, please see Mrs. Yubeta in the College and Career Center (Room 2A) to get signed up. Thank You!

• Juniors - SAT sign-ups are still available.  This is your opportunity to take the test during the week instead of coming in on a Saturday!  The test will be given on March 4^th,but you need to sign up by January 30th.  Don't delay - get your $33 to the finance office to reserve your seat!

• AP students - You can still sign up for the AP exam with a $40 late fee by February 20th.  AP Government students do NOT have to pay the late fee but the full payment needs to be in by February 20th.  Students who made a downpayment on their tests (that's the $40 per test payment), the remainder needs to be paid by February 20th.  If you aren't sure what category you fall in, come see Mrs. Procell in room 4G.

• Students, the library is open for after school tutoring Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00-5:30 until the end of the school year. Come get help with math, science, English, and history. Computers and Chromebooks are available for use. Bus transportation is available at 5:30 p.m.

• Hey Scots! Ready to wipe out BCHS, come join us at our Winter Blizzard Night 1/28 for our VAR girl’s soccer! We will be cheering them on! Wear your winter gear to stay warm! GOOOOOO SCOTS!

• Hey Scots! Join us as Highland High School Drama proudly presents Almost, Maine, a heartfelt and whimsical play about ordinary people falling in and out of love under the glow of the northern lights. Set in a small town where nothing is quite what it seems, this tender and funny collection of stories explores the many ways love can surprise us. Don’t miss this charming evening of laughter, magic, and connection—performed by our talented students! This production opens Thursday, January 29^that 7pm in the WAH! Additional shows are Friday January 30th at 7pm, and Saturday January 31st at 2pm and 7pm. Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts, and admission is $10. We hope to see you there!
