- Hey hey Scots! Wait time is over, our winter rally is finally here! The theme is Winter Candyland. Next Week, Monday, 1/12, is Nerds Day, dress up as a Nerd, wear your suspenders and glasses! Tuesday, 1/13, is Trollis Gummy Worms, it's miss and match day, wear an outfit that doesn't make any sense, with one sock longer than the other or wearing stripes with polka dots! Wednesday, 1/14, is Twix Day, twin and match with someone! Thursday,1/15, is Air Heads Day, crazy hair or crazy hat day! Friday, our rally day is SKITTLES! Wear your class colors to show your sweet side! Freshman wear blue, Sophomores wear green, Juniors wear white, and seniors wear pink!
- Scots! Friday, January 9th is the first annual Kern High Day. This is a day to celebrate being part of the Kern High family for students, staff, and alumni. On Friday, wear a shirt representing Kern High and share about your experience in the Kern High School District! If you post any pictures, use the hashtag #KernHighDay.
- Scots! This Wednesday, January 7th, is the LAST day to buy formal tickets. Tickets will be available before school, lunch and after school. Tickets are going fast! Don't get stuck in the long lines and be sure to plan ahead. Permission slips are available in the Activities Office and must be returned to the Dean’s office prior to purchasing!
- Scots! If you signed up to participate in the Career Readiness Program with the Boys and Girls Club, please meet in room 7A during lunch tomorrow January 6th for a quick meeting. We will cover final details and sign-ups for the program.

- Ever wondered what it would be like to jump really high over a bar and twist like a pretzel while you do it? Look no further! The track and field team is here to help you achieve that dream! If you are interested in participating in the High Jump this year, please come see Coach Tatman in room 3E at lunch anytime on the 6th,8th, and 9th for more information.
