Announcements:
- Students, if you need a Prom Guest form, they are available in the Dean’s Office before school, during lunch and after school. Forms will not be given out during class time.
- Scots, need some more community service hours? KCSOS and CALM Zoo have launched a special "Stock the Shelves" Holiday Food Drive throughout the Holiday Lights Season. From now until Jan. 3, you can sign up for community service hours and volunteer. See Mrs. Rodriguez in the front office to sign up. Spots are filling up fast!
- Hi Scots! Monday December 8th at 6:30pm. We will be hosting our first home Boys Basketball Game vs. Mira Monte Lions! Join us as we “Put The Lions to Sleep”, wear comfy pjs, and bring a teddy bear in support of local children!
- Scots! Formal bids are now on sale in the Finance Office for $70 with StudentVue and $65 with ID card before school, lunch or after school. You MUST have a signed permission slip, available in the Activities Office, turned into the Dens Office prior to purchasing. Non-HHS guests must get an addition Guest form completed and turned in. The last day to purchase bids is January 7thafter school. No exceptions!
- Do you want to save some money on your Formal ticket? Turn in 5 canned food items to the Activities Office prior to December 12thto get a $5 off coupon!
- Scots - We are excited to announce that this Thursday HHS is honored to display the AIDS Quilt in the gym during periods 2-7. Teachers will have the opportunity to bring their classes down to view the display and learn about some of the history of the quilt and the Bakersfield AIDS Project with special guest Audrey Chavez.

- Good morning, Scots! It's the season of giving! The Highland Red Cross is hosting a toy and blanket drive from 12/1-12/12. If you'd like to donate unopened toys and unused blankets, come to Mrs.Martinez's room. It goes out to special victims unit of the police department. Help spread the warmth and give fuzzy warm feelings!
- On Tuesday, Dec 9thwe will be holding our first CAPK Food Drive event. We have partnered with Anthem and CAPK to bring fresh food to our community as part of our commitment to supporting families. This event will begin at 10am so please share with your families and friends. Food will be free of charge and available until supplies last.
