Announcements:

• Scots! Did you know that you can buy your way back into Roshambo by using just 5 of your PLAID points? Just stop by 7A during lunch or passing period!

• Scots!  If you want to save $5 on your formal ticket, be sure to bring in five canned food items to the Activities Office to receive a coupon!  The last day to bring items is December 12th!

• Scots! Roshambo is back! Starting today, we will begin our school-wide Roshambo (rock, paper, scissors) competition. You will receive a set of beads from your 2nd period teacher. You can play ANYONE on campus who has beads. Whenever you play someone, the winner wins ALL the beads from their opponent. Once you have 10 beads, you can challenge a teacher. Students who have the most beads by Thursday at lunch can win prizes such as PLAID gear, formal tickets, etc. Let’s see who the winner is this year!

• Scots! Formal is January 10th this year Formal tickets go on sale when we get back from Thanksgiving Break. Tickets are $70 if you use Student Vue and $65 if you have your actual ID card. Students MUST have a signed dance contract completed and turned into the Dean's Office prior to purchasing tickets. Non-HHS guests must also have a dance contract signed AND a Guest Permission slip. Dance contracts are available in the Activities Office and Guest Permission slips are available in the Dean's Office. Guest tickets MUST be purchased at the same time as when you buy your ticket. Guest tickets are NOT sold separately! Want to save some money? Bring in 5 cans of food or non-perishables to the Activities Office and get a coupon for $5 off your formal ticket! The last day to turn in cans is December 12th, so don't wait! Questions? Please see MBS in the Activities Office

• Freshmen! If you bought the freshmen bundle last year and have your clean Highland tumbler, bring it to the Student Store this Wednesday, November 19th for a free slushie!

Club News:

• Today’s the day, Scots! Join us at the WAH at 4:00 PM to watch some amazing short films created by our Video Production program. And the best part? It’s completely FREE for everyone! Plus, a brand-new episode of Scots Weekly is out right now! Teachers, please play it when you have a chance, thank you!

• Feeling thankful? Want to leave a thankful note to someone you're grateful for; friends, families and teachers at highland? The Highland RedCross is hosting a Thankful Leaf notes in the quad during lunch. Come down and LEAF a thankful note to someone. 

• Art Club will be meeting in 8A on Thursday at lunch.

• Boy’s, do you want to miss school all day? Go to the beach or travel and see great courses? Do you want to spend a day in the sun and out on the golf course instead of being in class? If you are interested in playing golf for Coach Smart in the spring, please stop by the P.E. office and sign up.

• Join Club America. We focus on student leadership, freedom of speech, limited government, and free market. Everyone is welcome! Our next meeting is this Wednesday in room 7A. Come be a part of the movement.
