Announcements:

 

  • Scots!  CSUB is hosting a High School Night at their upcoming Saturday, 9/24 game vs. Long Beach St. at 7pm!  If you bring your school ID to the box office, tickets are only $5 for students and school employees.  

 

  • Homecoming is next week!! Get ready for Pixar Palooza!! Our dress up days are Monday: Monsters University (college gear or monsters), Tuesday: Toy Story Tuesday (cowboys vs. space creature), Wednesday: Whapow Wednesday! (Superhero day), Thursday: Up, Up and Away! (Scout or Explorer), Pixar Palooza Friday: Wear your green and blue or Pixar Palooza shirt!  Dress code will be strictly enforced! No masks or toy weapons!

 

  • Pixar Palooza activities next week include: Wednesday is Club Rush Day - check out what clubs we have on campus, Thursday is Food Sale Day - bring money to buy from one of our many food vendors! Friday is Homecoming Rally and our Homecoming Game - Homecoming Court will be announced and class floats will be judged!, Saturday - Homecoming Dance!

 

  • Seniors! Are you interested in attending California State University, Fresno? We will be hosting a zoom presentation on Tuesday, October 18th in the library. Please stop by the Career Center located in the library to sign-up.

 

  • Attention Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors! Are you planning on attending college, a technical school, joining the military or you’re just not sure yet? Taking the ASVAB Career Exploration Test can help you understand your skills, abilities, and interests and will help you make the best decision about your future. If you are interested in taking the ASVAB test on September 29th please see Mrs. Verde in the College and Career Center located in the library to sign up.

  • Hey Seniors and Juniors, are you interested in being part of the Spanish Honors Society? This Thursday at 4:00, in Mr. Leon’s classroom 15F, you will find out if you are eligible to apply to the Spanish Honors Society. Hope to see you there.”

 

  • National Honor Society Members! This Thursday we are meeting during 5th lunch in Ms. Thomas’s room 4PG. See you there!

 

  • Hey Scots, are you Deaf, Hard of Hearing or Hearing taking an ASL 1,2 or 3 course?  Come and join our Teen Deaf Club, were excited to announce that Teen Deaf Club will be holding their first meeting on September 27th in room 5 I at 4:00-5:30 p.m. We will be discussing community involvement and service, events, and fundraising ideas for this school year.  We will be picking teams for robotic competitions.  If you have any questions, please stop by Ms. Garza’s classroom in 5I.  Hope to see you all soon!!!  Meetings for TDC will be every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 4:00-5:30 pm.

 

  • Attention All Christian Athletes … this Wednesday will be our first meeting of the 22-23 school year, and it’s time for you to join us. FCA is a group we’ve had here on campus for years, and it’s geared towards the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We meet weekly to talk, discuss, and support each other through the trials we all face in life. The good news is for those of you who have friends who don’t play sports, you don’t have to be an athlete to join FCA. Our talks are centered around competition, teenage struggles, and how to rely on our faith to get us through the day. Come out and see what it’s about! We meet in room 5K for Freshman/Sophomore lunch, and 5L for Junior/Senior lunch. We’re excited for what this year’s going to do for FCA! Come be a part of i

 

  • This week, we will have our first Project BEST meeting. Project BEST (Black Excellence in Scholarship and Teaching) is a mentoring program for African American male students that: Guides eligible young men through a college preparatory program.                                  Encourages academic excellence and good attendance throughout high school.                            Offers enrichment activities/programs.                                                                                    Acquaints students with educational opportunities.                                                                        Assists with college applications, SAT/ACT, and scholarships.                                                            Keep an eye out for your call slips! We meet this Friday during both lunches in room 16E.
