Seniors, Friday April 1st will be the last day the finance office will be accepting checks as a source of payment.

 

Attention Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors! Are you planning on attending college, a technical school, joining the military or you’re just not sure yet? Taking the ASVAB Career Exploration Test can help you understanding your skills, abilities, and interests and will help you make the best decision about your future. If you are interested in taking the ASVAB test on March 31st please see Mrs. Verde in the College and Career Center located in the library to sign up.

 

The US Army is hosting the annual All Star Football Bowl on April 29th. It is an area style football game for Kern County Seniors. Come support your fellow Stars, Zephan Stevens, and Andrew Turney. If you want a chance to win a ticket to the Army All Star Bowl, come to the Army pop-up tent on Thursday March 31st, during both lunches and participate in a push up competition. The winners will be announced at the end of the day.

 

Spring Volleyball will resume on Wednesday 3/23.

 

Starting a Share Table in Cafeteria During 5th Lunch If you have food you’re not wanting to eat from

the lunch you got please put it in the Share Basket in the cafeteria. Anyone can take what food they would like to eat out of the share basket. Let’s start sharing food so it is not going to waste.

 

 

Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors – ASB Applications are now available and only open for 2 more weeks go online:

Good morning, Scots!  It’s time for AVID’s College of the Week.  This week our school is California State University-Long Beach!!! 

 

Here are some facts to know about CSULB:

CSULB campus spans over 320 acres and is located just 3 miles from the Pacific Ocean

CSULB is home to the largest Physics Department at any university in the state of California (including UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and Cal Poly SLO)

Long Beach is the school most applied to in the CSU system
