9th Graders! Are you interested in running for Class Council?  9th grade class council includes: president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.  Please use the following link to access the application packet and application: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dREAV6oZ4AsYazsxBEAq_xJ4Ygk_zsgndjDnlhIlcxw/edit?usp=sharing.  Applications are due next Tuesday, 8/31!  If you have any questions or need help, please contact Ms. Barber-Smith. 
Scots - If you are interested in starting a new club at Highland, new club applications are available in the ASB Room - 3A.  Applications are due by 9/17/21.
Seniors! The Women's Club of Bakersfield scholarship is now open for applications. Stop by the Career Center located in the library and see Mrs. Verde for more information.
The Stockdale Moose Lodge will host the 2021-2022 Youth Awareness Congress on SUNDAY, OCT. 3, 2021. This Scholarship Opportunity is open to ALL high school students. Students who complete the program can earn high school Community Service credit, Certificate of Completion, $50 Visa card, $100 from the Stockdale WOMEN OF THE MOOSE, may become eligible to compete for an all-expense paid trip to Orlando, Florida and a chance to compete for a college scholarship. For more information see Mrs. Verde in the Career Center located in the library.
Do you want to get into all KHSD athletic events for free (except playoffs) and get discounts on prom and formal tickets and much, much more? ASB stickers can now be purchased in the Finance Office for $20. If you bought the 9th grade bundle, please take your ID card to the Finance Office to get your sticker!

Hey Scots! Do you or someone you know like to perform on stage? Well we have an opportunity for you! Auditions for our fall musical, Godspell, are happening this wednesday, thursday, and friday! Come be part of bringing live theatre back to Highland! For more information see Mr. Thompson in the WAH!
Academic Decathlon is still looking for students to be a part of this year’s team.  We are in need for B and C students.  If interested, please see Mrs. Mayo in 8A or email her at [email protected] .  Our first meeting will be Sept. 7th after school in 8A.  If you can’t make the meeting please come by 8A and let her know.
