Seniors will have the opportunity to pick up their diploma and regalia on June 2nd and June 3rd.
Seniors can pick up their diplomas if:
- They have met all graduation requirements
- They do not have any outstanding debt to the school or any other school in the district
Seniors MUST be present and will be required to show ID before picking up their diploma and regalia.
- Tuesday, June 2: Last names A-M can pick up their diplomas in the staff parking lot in a drive thru route from 9:00-11:00 AM.
- Wednesday, June 3: Last names N-Z can pick up their diplomas in the staff parking lot in a drive thru route from 9:00-11:00 AM.
If students have items to return, they can do so from 7:30-1:00 PM Monday through Friday. There is a box in front of the administration office where they can return their texts. We are NOT collecting chrome books from students in 9-11th grade at this time. We appreciate your help in communicating this to your students.
Previously on May 16th and before:
Select End of the Year Checkout to see when your senior checkout time is.
During Checkout: Students will be asked to respect social distancing guidelines. They will not be allowed to group up during this process and may not stay on campus after they are signed off. Thank you for your help with this.
Cap and gown pick up is next Tuesday 4/21 at the Jostens storefront. Please see the schedule I sent out earlier (it's also on Twitter and the website). A lot of kids are anxious to get their cap and gown for graduation announcements, pictures and to get their hands on something symbolic of their graduation. IF kids have not ordered yet, they may still purchase them but will need to go directly to the Jostens store.
ASB, the Senior class, and Administration have several ideas in the works to help acknowledge our seniors for the end of the year. Stay tuned for more information.
Yearbooks will be delivered to school in the next few weeks and we are working on a plan to get them to the kids. As soon as this is decided we will get the word out. Kids can still order yearbooks at: JOSTENS
Students will be getting refunds for events that they have paid for or put deposits down that have now been cancelled. I think Stephani and I have a pretty accurate list of what events need to be refunded, but please send me an email to confirm if your kids need a refund for your event.
We will have a date set in May for students to return athletic gear and club equipment. Please respond to my email from yesterday if you are a club that items have been checked out to kids and you need returned. Thank you to those of you who have already responded!
For some strange reason, distance learning has triggered an extremely high amount of ASB application submissions! Thank you for helping to get the word out. Applications close this afternoon and Class Council applications will be available on April 27th. All elections will be done on-line so I will post results when we have them.
Students can start completing their athletic packets on the HHS Website under Athletics starting May 1st. There will be a postponement on the physicals due to our current situation, but kids can get a head start on the packets at least. Cheer applications are now available and we will be doing cheer tryouts virtually. Cheer applications are also on the HHS Website Athletics page.
Spring Fest is scheduled for next week "Down the Rabbit Hole" and we will have virtual dress up days:
Monday - Dress up for the Royal Tea Party or stay in your pajamas all day.
Tuesday - Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Doo Day and dooo twin with your siblings or your virtual twin!
Wednesday - Cheshire's Wild Wednesday and show us your best animal!
Thursday - Don't drown in the Sea of Tears and just show us your favorite beach gear (school appropriate!)
Friday - Down the Rabbit Hole and show us your head to toe virtual black out!
We will also be having a virtual "Food Sale Day" on Thursday (show us your best food from home) and lunch time activities for students to participate in at home and post about. Please feel free to participate and tag the ASB Instagram @hhscots.
Thank you to all of you who are sharing school information with our kids. Zujieli is the queen of all -calls (which include calls, texts and emails to our families), Tony is regularly updating our website, Lisa is emailing and tweeting our daily announcements, ASB is doing virtual daily announcements on Twitter, ASB is using their student Instagram and Alaine is updating our staff Instagram. It is definitely a team effort! If you need anything to go out, please let Lisa know.
Sorry for the lengthy email, but please let me know if you or any of your kids have questions. Thanks and hang in there during our New Normal! Happy Friday!! - mbs
