Seniors that want to speak at graduation please sign up at Mrs. Turney’s desk. Auditions will be Thursday May 17, 2018 after school. Students must sign up for tryouts by Wednesday May 16th at 4:00 pm with Mrs. Turney in the administration office.

Tickets for Senior breakfast and Senior Sunset are on sale now. There is a FLASH SALE on Friday - Get both for $20 instead of $25.  Don't miss out on the hypnotist and making memories.  

Seniors! If you pre ordered your cap and gowns in February, come by the ASB office to receive them. You MUST have your ID!!!!!!

Grad Nite Tickets are going on sale this week! Pick up your permission slip in the ASB Office.

  • Seniors! We now have a 5th bus for Grad Nite, its half full, so let’s fill it! Come by the ASB office to pick up your permission slip.

Seniors-If you have received any scholarships please come by 2A and give your information to Mrs. Johnston. We would like to honor you during Senior Awards.
 
Seniors- Please bring your College or University Acceptance letters to the Career Center (2A).
 
Seniors-We are getting close to the end of the year, and senior check out is right around the corner! Please make sure to get your debts cleared, turn in any text books you may have laying around from freshmen year, and all of you athletic uniform or equipment. You can no longer pay with checks, its cash ONLY. Remember the lines will get longer, the longer you wait!

Are you a Gamer?  Do you like E-sports?  Did you know colleges are starting to offer scholarships for top E-sport Players?  Wanna know more?  If you missed the ESports informational meeting come by 11D and talk with Mr. Raddatz! 

Special Announcement:  Did you know Highland is now offering a College Level Course in Computer Science Principles?  That’s right!  Advanced Placement CSP is for students who are interested in knowing more about technology, how computers work and programming.  If you are a Junior or Senior next year THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!  Please see Mr. Raddatz in 11D for more information!

New scholarship available- applicants must be at least one-quarter Hispanic/Latino and originally from or descended from inhabitants of at least one of the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Belize, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay, or Venezuela. Hispanic and Latino are ethnic categories, not racial categories, and Hispanic/Latino students may be of any race.  Deadline is June 30th. Come to 2A (Career Center) for application.

Spring football started earlier this week. Practice begins after school on the practice fields. See Coach Gutierrez if you have any questions.

Anyone who plans to play boys basketball next year, there will be meeting on Monday at 6:45 pm in the gym. You will be given information, and meet your new coach. Come to 7J with any questions.

Cross Country: There will be an informational meeting on Thursday May 10th at lunch in room 7A. Get your lunch and come to 7A to meet the coaches and find out about summer conditioning, Sports physicals and the upcoming season. If you have any questions, see Coach Mayberry in room 7A or Coach Wykoff in room 6C.

All wrestlers and any student interested in joining the wrestling team, please come to room 5B during lunch for a quick meeting.

Listen up, folks! All library books are due THIS Friday, May 18. Turn ‘em in, please!

There will be FREE sports physicals this Saturday, May 19th from 8am to 10am at Kern Medical’s Columbus Campus (1111 Columbus Street Suite #1000). If you have questions please call Laura Trowbridge @ 326-5590.

Hey there Scotsmen! Do you like cinnamon rolls? Well, you’re in luck the Robotics team, is preselling a box of 10 for $12, to preorder find a Robotics team member in 11C or Monday before school. You can also purchase one for $2.
