Attention All Underclassmen-School pictures for next year will be taking place on Friday, April 20th. 9th graders will be taking pictures with their PE classes and 10th & 11th graders will be taking pictures with their History classes. 11thgraders –these are yearbook only pictures.

Juniors and Seniors – Prom is April 21st from 7:30-10:30 pm.  This year’s FLASH sale for Prom Bids will be on April 16th.  The price will be $50 per bid.  The regular price will be $60 per bid.  Join us in our Enchanted Garden at the Rio Bravo Country Club as we dance the night away.  This year’s theme is Tonight’s Dream…Tomorrow’s Memories.  Listen to the announcements for when bids go on sale next week.  Don’t miss out!  Bids are limited and sure to sell out!

  • Prom permission slips are now available in the Athletic Office.  If you are bringing a guest, they must be approved by the Dean – please plan accordingly!  All debts must be cleared (including uniforms) in order to purchase a bid!

Seniors-Stuck on your BC application? Haven’t started the process to get classes for BC? You are in luck! BC will be hosting an Open House on April 20th to help students get enrolled. See Mr. Sweet to sign up.

Are you the next Rubik’s Cube Champion? Test your skills at the KHSD Rubik’s Cube competition on May 8th from 5-8pm at Golden Valley High School. See your teachers for more details.

Calling all poets! April is National Poetry Month so get ready for our annual Open-Mic Poetry in the library. Stay tuned for details….

  • Come to the library THIS Friday at lunch for Open Mic Poetry! Bring your lunch and read a poem, or just sit and enjoy. We’ll see you there!

Juniors & Seniors: If you got an overdue notice from your English teacher, take care of your business! Turn in books at the Library, and pay fines at the Finance Office.

Seniors:  If you have not yet purchased your cap and gown, you must do so ASAP!  You may order online at HerffJones.com or go to their office at 4700 Easton Drive. They have extended their office hours from 1pm – 6pm.

Seniors-Your instructions for graduation will be going out in the mail soon! Please make sure your CORRECT address is in the system per the Registrar.

Seniors-If you have received any scholarships please come by 2A and give your information to Mrs. Johnston. We would like to honor you during Senior Awards.

Want to learn how to save a life? The Red Cross will be hosting a CPR training TODAY from 2:30 to 3:30 in the Library. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there!

  • Seniors are you interested in furthering you education and attaining your career goal in Civil Engineering, if so please come by 2A and ask Mrs. Carter for the scholarship information.
  • Senior Girls, are you pursuing studies in either finance or political science as your major? If so, Mrs. Carter has a scholarship available, please come by 2A for more questions.

  • COLLEGE SHIRT WEDNESDAYS are back!  STUDENTS & STAFF - Wear your college gear every Wednesday in support Highland’s College Going Culture.  Stop by the Career Center and show off your gear and get a treat!

  • Students are not allowed to park at the staff parking lot by the administration building.  Students who park at the staff parking lot will be cited.
