General ANNOUNCEMENTS:

FCA meeting today … come see what it’s all about during lunch, in room 5K. Bring your food and join us for some fun group discussions and uplifting topics. Everyone is welcome to FCA! See you in 5K.

Tickets are on sale NOW for Highland’s fall play, Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet! Presale is $5 until Thursday November 30th at lunch. General admission at the door will be $7! Tickets will be available in the finance office! Come support your friends and fellow Scots!”

Attention prospective baseball players. There will be an informational meeting in the athletic office during lunch this Friday November 17th.

Softball conditioning HAS STARTED! Come dressed out in Softball attire. Bring a glove and cleats if you have some. You MUST have an athletic packet turned in to the athletic office to participate.

Wrestling season is upon us. If you would like to try out, stop by the ACT/ATH office to pick up an athletic packet or see Coach Kuntz in room 5B for more information.

Who are you thankful for?  Link Crew would like your help spreading thankfulness this month by buying a thankfulness gram.  For 50 cents without candy or $1 with candy, let someone know why you are thankful for them; grams can go to staff or students.  They will be delivered the day before the thanksgiving holiday.  Let’s Go Big Scots!

Seniors and Juniors who are interested in taking the ASVAB in November should sign up in the career center with Mrs. Carter.

Attention all Highland students. Our annual Sadie Hawkins dance is coming up Nov. 16th. Tickets will be sold in the finance office starting Nov. 1st. Join us in dressing all white for the night. So bring your date and don’t be late!  Need a proposal poster? ASB can help! We take poster requests for minimal charge of either $3 or $5.  Please pay the Finance Office and then bring your receipt and poster request form to the ASB room in 14ABest proposal gets two FREE tickets.  Sadies is only open to Highland students and you MUST have a current school ID to get into the dance!  Please plan accordingly!

 
Yearbook News: 
  • Seniors! The time has finally come. Yearbook is finally accepting baby pictures! If you would like your baby picture in the yearbook you can bring them to 3E or submit them through email to [email protected].   Baby pictures are due this Friday. 
Scots!!!  Need something to prop up your phone? Something to help you take that selfie? Pop-sockets are now at Highland! Stop by the Student Store to check out our new H block pop-sockets!

Attention FALL ATHLETES: If you were not able to attend the scholar athlete awards last week, stop by the athletic office to pick up your award. Congratulations on your achievement.

  • Hey Chess Club.  It is still not too late to go to the competitions.  The next completion is November 30th (that’s a Thursday).  If you’ve got game (or think you do) stop by 11D during LUNCH this week and pick up a Permission Slip.  If you already have a permission slip – TURN IT IN PLEASE!!  See you then!
