Thursday – Far Far Away Into the Future (future career) - Mirror, mirror on the wall, which career do you want most of all?  Dress up in your future career attire!

Friday – This is OUR Swamp (green and blue) - Represent the Swamp by wearing your Blue and Green or Homecoming shirts!  Then come to the Homecoming Game against Foothill tonight!

Attention students: The Academic Awards are right around the corner on October 10th. Stop by the counseling area to see if your name is posted. To receive an award, you need a 3.5 for your previous school year for two consecutive semesters. Congratulations on your achievement!

The finance office will be pre-selling tickets for this week’s home football games. You can purchase your pre-sale ticket now until Friday at lunch. You may buy them before school, during lunch or after school.

Hey Swampsmen!!  2017 Homecoming shirts are here!  Shirts are available for purchase in the Finance Office for $15. Supplies are limited, so don’t wait!!

Seniors: If you get an overdue notice from your English teacher, PLEASE return your books to the Library, and pay your fees at the Finance Office! Don’t wait to take care of your business!

  • Did you know that the Library sells mechanical pencils, gel pens, logo pencils, and pens for as little as 25 cents? Come in to the Library and CHECK IT OUT!

Please help us on one or both nights of our Safe Halloween event October 30 and October 31 from 3pm-10:00 pm (split shifts available).  Volunteers are needed to supervise bounce houses, handing out candy, handing out trick-or-treat bags, security, line control, customer information and trash pickup. You may also contact Gina, Stephanie, or Amber at 661-437-3330 [email protected] for more information.

Hey Scots! We still have 13 PSAT tests available to purchase. The test will be given on Wednesday, Oct 11 in the gym beginning at 8:23 AM. If you plan on taking the SAT in the future, why not practice before hand? If you are interested, please take the $16 fee to finance. Have a great day!!

Attention all Lady Scots Soccer Players!  We are less than 2 weeks away from the start of conditioning (October 16th).  You must have your athletic packet completed and turned into the Athletics Office in order to be cleared to participate.  No cards, no practice.  See Coach Ferralli in 7I if you have any questions.

Attention students: if you are in need of community service hours we got what you need! Wesley Methodist church is looking for student volunteers to help unload pumpkins for their upcoming pumpkin patch. It will take place on October 8th @ 12:30 p.m. If you are interested stop by the ACT/ATH office to sign up.   

To all students, freshman to seniors. Are you interested in participating in the Youth Awareness Program? The Stockdale Moose Lodge is looking for students who are interested in public speaking and educating young children to make positive choices in life. The student that completes the program receives high school community service credit, gets excellent experience for their resume, $50 visa gift card on completion of the program, and goes to Moose International to compete for a scholarship of $2000 to $12000 dollars. If any students are interested you must attend the Youth Awareness Orientation meeting which will be held at Stockdale Moose Lodge on Sunday, October 15, 2017. For more information, please come by the Career Center in 2A and see Mrs. Carter.

 

Club News

  •  Hey Chess Club.  It is still not too late to go to the competitions.  The next completion is October 12th (that’s a Thursday).  If you’ve got game (or think you do) stop by 11D during LUNCH this week and pick up a Permission Slip.  If you already have a permission slip – TURN IT IN PLEASE!!  See you then!
  • The InterAct Club is selling Breast Cancer ribbons all week in the quad for 25 cents during lunch time. Please support the fight! All money raised will be donated the American Cancer Society.
